Overview
The ECLIPSE Ti2 is Nikon’s high-performance inverted microscope platform engineered for advanced imaging workflows. At its core, the Ti2 offers an exceptionally wide 25 mm field of view (FOV), allowing researchers to fully exploit large-format CMOS camera sensors and significantly increase throughput.
This microscope system is built for stability — it delivers a drift-free imaging platform designed to handle long experiments, super-resolution techniques, and high-speed acquisition. Unique hardware triggering supports demanding, time-sensitive imaging sessions, while intelligent internal sensors continuously monitor system status. This sensor data drives an Assist Guide feature that helps users through critical setup steps, minimizing errors and ensuring reproducibility. During acquisition, all component status is recorded automatically, delivering traceable metadata for quality control.
Integrated with Nikon’s NIS-Elements software, the Ti2 becomes a powerful, all-in-one solution for research imaging, simplifying complex workflows and enabling advanced applications such as live-cell imaging, high-content screening, and super-resolution.
The Ti2-E is the full-featured, motorized version of the Ti2 series, built for advanced research applications such as live-cell imaging, high-content screening, super-resolution, and confocal microscopy. Its ultra-stable, drift-resistant platform maintains performance even over long time-lapse experiments. The Perfect Focus System (PFS) ensures real-time drift correction, and automated collar adjustment helps maintain image quality with varying sample conditions. Meanwhile, built-in sensors and an intelligent “Assist Guide” streamline workflows, reducing risk of misalignment and user error. Control is highly flexible — via joystick, tablet (wireless), or PC — and custom modes and I/O triggering enhance its integration into complex imaging systems.
